Orchard New Haven, Connecticut - DwightThis is not healthy for our city trees, what a disgusting disregard. I see these all over the city. Install posts for such purposes, but STOP STAPLING INTO OUR CITY TREES.

Flooding ArchivedOrchard And Gilbert New Haven, Connecticut - West RiverThe flooding here is terrible, it takes over half the road. Please do not respond that you did not see any flooding by the time you investigate next week. Clean the drain, stop the flooding. It only gets worse with winter, when this will all turn to a sheet of ice, endangering pedestrians, drivers and cyclists.

Dead Tree Archived466 Norton Parkway New Haven, Connecticut - Beaver HillsHate to see this old street tree die, it really was a beauty. Hopefully the homeowner will request a new tree for the property. (Doubt it, but we can all hope.)

61 Dudley Street Hamden, Connecticut - HamdenDudley has been "prepared" for paving but nothing has been done since. There are very deep lips left from the prep, which makes it painful and difficult for cyclists crossing this street on the Farmington Canal. I imagine it is also difficult for people in wheelchairs, as well as those pushing strollers.

Uneven road with manhole covers ArchivedFountain And Forest New Haven, Connecticut - WestvilleThis spot, coming down Fountain, passing Vista and Dayton Street. At the bottom of the hill, near the turn onto Forest, is a very uneven portion of road in the right lane, making it unsafe for cyclists. Our options here are to brave the bumps and risk being thrown from our bikes, slow down dangerously to avoid that fate, thereby angering the auto drivers behind us, or veer into the left lane to avoid this spot. This is difficult to "fix" as the surface includes manhole covers, but it must be addressed. The road surface needs evening out. (These are not technically potholes, but it seemed the most fitting category.)

1460 Whalley Ave New Haven, CT - AmityIn front of Breuggers, the yellow painted concrete parking space marker (not sure what this is actually called) is in the middle of the sidwalk. Not sure how long it has been there, but I have to assume for months, since I think the only thing that could move such a heavy object is a snow plow.

Fetid garbage and recycling toters Archived1270 Whalley Ave New Haven, CT - AmityThe owner of this property leaves filthy trash and recycling toters on the sidewalk. This might be fine if they didn't reek of death and maggots. (Address is approximated - it is the home next door to 1260 on the corner. 1280 is American Diamond Exchange.) This is an issue for LCI, but I wasn't sure how to categorize it.
